Godrej Agrovet has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana to invest INR 150 Crore in establishing a new dairy processing facility. This investment will expand the Godrej Industries Group’s total investment in Telangana to over INR 10,000 Cr. The new facility aims to boost the state’s dairy ecosystem and provide protein-rich dairy products to consumers. The announcement was made on December 9, 2025.
Dairy Processing Facility in Telangana
Godrej Agrovet, through its subsidiary Creamline Dairy Products Limited (Godrej Jersey), has formalized an agreement with the Government of Telangana to establish a state-of-the-art dairy processing facility. The investment for this project is valued at INR 150 Crore and will be located across 40 acres.
Investment and Objectives
This new dairy processing facility will contribute to meeting the nutritional needs of consumers by providing access to protein-rich dairy products. The company aims to strengthen the state’s dairy ecosystem, aligning with the Telangana government’s focus on inclusive growth and agri-food processing capabilities. The total planned investment in the state now exceeds INR 10,000 Cr across diverse businesses within the Godrej Group.

Previous Investments
In 2023, Godrej Agrovet had announced an investment of approximately INR 300 Crore to establish an Integrated Oil Palm Complex in the Khammam district. Godrej Properties has also announced plans to invest INR 10,000 Crore across four residential projects in Hyderabad.

The project is expected to generate over 300 direct employment opportunities.

Sunil Kataria, CEO & MD, Godrej Agrovet Limited, stated that consumer demand for value-added dairy products is witnessing double-digit growth and that the MoU is a step towards building a facility that will manufacture best-in-class and innovative protein-rich dairy products.
Products will be sold under the Godrej Jersey brand. Godrej Jersey has been operating in the dairy industry since 1986.
