Godawari Power Environmental Clearance for Ari Dongri Mine Expansion

Godawari Power and Ispat Limited has received environmental clearance for the expansion of its Ari Dongri Iron Ore Mines. The expansion will increase the mining capacity from 2.35 MTPA to 6 MTPA. This includes an increase in the mining lease area from 138.96 Ha to 213.01 Ha. The clearance was granted by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) Chhattisgarh on January 31, 2026.

Ari Dongri Mine Expansion Approved

Godawari Power and Ispat Limited announced it has secured the Environmental Clearance for the expansion of the Ari Dongri Iron Ore Mines.

Expansion Details

The expansion project will increase the mining capacity from an existing 2.35 MTPA to 6 MTPA. This expansion also involves an increase in the mining lease area, growing from 138.96 Ha to 213.01 Ha. The project aims to enhance the company’s production capabilities.

Clearance Authority

The Environmental Clearance was granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, specifically through the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) Chhattisgarh, on January 31, 2026.
