Global Health has announced the approval of an increase in bed capacity for its proposed Mumbai hospital from 500 to 750 beds, following additional FSI approval. The company will also acquire 30 residential flats near the hospital for staff accommodation, increasing the total Mumbai project cost to ₹1530 Crores from the initial ₹1200 Crores.
Mumbai Hospital Expansion
Global Health’s Board of Directors has approved increasing the bed capacity of its Mumbai hospital project. Originally planned for 500 beds, the hospital will now have a capacity of 750 beds. This expansion is made possible by the receipt of additional Floor Space Index (FSI) approval from the Mumbai Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). The details related to the additional capacity are enclosed.
Residential Flats Acquisition
The Board also approved the acquisition of 30 residential flats in a building near the proposed Mumbai hospital. This acquisition will require an investment of up to ₹85 Crores and will primarily serve as residential accommodation for clinicians and key staff to be hired for the hospital. This strategic move ensures convenient housing for essential personnel, supporting the smooth operation of the new facility.
Increased Project Cost
As a result of the bed capacity expansion and residential flat acquisition, the total project cost for the Mumbai project has increased to ₹1530 Crores. This is an increase from the earlier estimated cost of ₹1200 Crores, reflecting the enhanced scope and additional investments in the project. This decision was made during a board meeting held on November 07, 2025.
Financial Results and Audit
The Board has also approved the Unaudited Standalone and Consolidated Financial Results for the second quarter (Q2: Jul-Sep) and half-year ended September 30, 2025. These results have been reviewed by Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, Chartered Accountants. The certified copies of the Results and the Limited Review Reports from the Statutory Auditors are enclosed.
