Further to his new appointment, it was disclosed that Cmde Indrajit Dasgupta resigned from his position as Chief General Manager (CGM), GRSE, with the resignation also taking effect from March 23, 2026. The formal acceptance letter for this resignation has been enclosed with the notification.
Profile of the New Executive Director
Cmde Indrajit Dasgupta, IN (Retd.), previously held the designation of CGM (SR&TU) & PS (NSG-30) (FT). He assumed charge as ED on March 23, 2026.
His professional background is extensive, marked by approximately 35 years of service in the Indian Navy, which provided him with rich and diverse experience across strategic and defense sectors. He holds robust academic credentials, including a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, an M. Sc in Defence and Strategic Studies, and a Master of Management Studies.
Cmde Dasgupta joined GRSE on March 01, 2023, initially serving as Project Superintendent (FT) in the CGM (E-8) grade. His tenure at GRSE totals over three years, where he has been responsible for functions pertaining to NSG 30, SR & TU.
Acknowledgement of Previous Service
In a separate communication dated March 23, 2026, the company acknowledged the resignation tendered by Cmde Indrajit Dasgupta from his services, effective the afternoon of March 23, 2026.
