Gallantt Ispat Limited has announced a significant restructuring of its leadership team, effective April 1, 2026. The company saw the resignation of three key officials, including the CFO and a Whole-time Director. Simultaneously, the Board has appointed new leadership, including a new CFO and the addition of two senior-level directors to strengthen the company’s governance and strategic oversight as it moves into the next fiscal year.
Leadership Transitions and Resignations
Effective from the close of business on March 31, 2026, Gallantt Ispat Limited confirmed the departure of three prominent figures. Mr. Sandip Kumar Agarwal, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr. Prashant Jalan, a Whole-time Director, and Mr. Udit Agarwal, an Independent Director, have all stepped down from their respective roles citing pre-occupation and other personal reasons.
New Executive Appointments
In a move to ensure continuity and strategic growth, the company has appointed Mr. Pradyumna Kumar Satpathy as the new Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective April 1, 2026. Mr. Satpathy brings over 28 years of extensive experience in end-to-end finance management, corporate planning, and cost control to his new role.
Strengthening Governance
The Board has further expanded its leadership capacity with two key appointments, both effective April 1, 2026, for a five-year term:
- Mr. Dindayal Jalan joins as an Additional and Whole-time Director, designated as Vice Chairman. He is a Chartered Accountant with over four decades of experience in the metals and mining industry, having previously served as Group CFO for Vedanta Resources.
- Mr. Atul Kumar Gupta has been appointed as an Additional Director to serve as a Non-Executive Independent Director. Mr. Gupta brings significant expertise from his background in the government domain, having previously served as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
These appointments remain subject to approval by the members of the company at the forthcoming General Meeting.
