GAIL (India) Limited announced on March 9, 2026, that it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited. The agreement, signed on March 5, 2026, focuses on collaboration within the key sectors of the country’s digital infrastructure.
Signatories and Leadership Comments
The MoU was formally executed by Shri S S Agrawal, Executive Director (O&M-CO) for GAIL, and Shri JS Marwah, CS & GGM (Law) for RailTel. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development) at GAIL, and Shri Sanjai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of RailTel.
Speaking on the development, Shri Deepak Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, stated that the partnership is fully aligned with the vision to integrate energy and digital infrastructure, capitalizing on the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is pivotal for India’s growth journey.
