GAIL Kochi-Koottanad-Bengaluru-Mangaluru Pipeline Completion Revised

GAIL (India) Limited has announced a revision in the completion schedule for the Kochi-Koottanad-Bengaluru-Mangaluru Pipeline (KKBMPL) project. The completion date has been shifted from December 2025 to March 2026 due to delays in the availability of hindrance-free fronts for construction. The board approved this revision on January 3, 2026.

KKBMPL Project Completion Schedule Update

GAIL (India) Limited has revised the completion schedule for its Kochi-Koottanad-Bengaluru-Mangaluru Pipeline (KKBMPL) project. The new expected completion timeline is March 2026, shifting from the previously projected December 2025.

Project Details

The KKBMPL project involves laying a pipeline spanning an authorized length of 1104 Km. As of the announcement on January 3, 2026, 884 Km of pipeline has been laid, with 628 Km commissioned.

Reason for Delay

The primary reason for the change in schedule is a delay in the availability of hindrance-free fronts, impacting the construction progress. This revision was approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting held on January 3, 2026, which commenced at 02:00 p.m. and concluded at 04:30 p.m.
