Exide Industries has appointed Mr. Indranil Chatterjee as Executive Vice President and Head Operations, effective January 12, 2026. Mr. Chatterjee will serve as Senior Management Personnel (SMP) for the company.
About Indranil Chatterjee
Mr. Indranil Chatterjee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from Jadavpur University and an Advanced Management Diploma from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
He brings over 30 years of experience in manufacturing excellence, operational leadership, project management, and business transformation across various sectors, including FMCG, industrial ceramics, and automobiles. His expertise includes large-scale operations, capacity expansion, process optimization, cost leadership, and global manufacturing practices.
Previous Roles
Before this appointment, Mr. Chatterjee served as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Chloride Metals Limited, a subsidiary of Exide Industries. He also previously held roles at Eveready Industries, Aditya Birla Group, and Hindustan National Glass.
