On March 03, 2026, Escorts Kubota Limited introduced the Powertrac Shaurya tractor series, marking its first dedicated product line for paddy cultivation under the value-focused Powertrac brand. The series comprises five variants targeting the 39 HP to 52 HP category range, specifically developed for the paddy-growing regions of Southern India, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Engineering for Wetland Operations
The Shaurya series is designed for superior reliability in demanding wetland and waterlogged conditions. Key technical highlights include:
- Sealing Protection: Incorporation of cassette-type sealing across critical aggregates to prevent ingress of water and mud.
- Maneuverability: Features a sharp turning radius of just 3.1 metres, ideal for small and medium-sized fields.
- Transmission: Equipped with a fully constant mesh gearbox featuring 8 forward and 2 reverse gears.
- Hydraulics & PTO: Offers Sensi-1 hydraulic lift capabilities in the 1600-2000 kg range. It also includes an independent PTO lever with double clutch configuration and dual PTO options (540/1000 and reverse PTO).
- Ergonomics: Designed with a perforated elevated platform and an adjustable slider seat with anti-slippery pads for operator comfort during long working hours.
