Eicher Motors Royal Enfield Launches ‘Flying Flea’ Electric Motorcycle Brand

Eicher Motors’ Royal Enfield has officially entered the electric mobility space with the launch of its new brand, Flying Flea. The inaugural model, the FF.C6, features a contemporary neo-vintage design, a 3.91 kWh battery, and high-performance capabilities including a top speed of 115 km/h. Priced starting at ₹1.99 Lakh (Battery-as-a-Service), the motorcycle will initially be available in Bengaluru, with bookings and test rides commencing on April 10, 2026.

A New Chapter in Electric Mobility

Eicher Motors has unveiled the Flying Flea C6, the first electric motorcycle under its new ‘Flying Flea’ sub-brand. Drawing inspiration from the original 1940s-era lightweight motorcycles, the new model is designed to blend heritage aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. The launch signifies a major strategic shift for Royal Enfield as it moves into the electric vehicle segment during its 125th year of operations.

Performance and Design Highlights

The FF.C6 is engineered for urban environments, weighing only 124 kg while delivering over 400 Nm of wheel torque. Key performance metrics include a top speed of 115 km/h and a peak power output of 15.4 kW. The motorcycle incorporates advanced components, including a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged from 20% to 80% in just over 60 minutes using rapid charging capabilities.

The design is marked by a distinctive forged aluminium Girder fork—a first in the current market—and a unique battery fin structure that symbolizes the brand’s fusion of past legacy and future innovation.

Advanced Tech and Availability

The Flying Flea is built to be a ‘connected’ machine, featuring WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity, alongside over-the-air (OTA) updates that allow the motorcycle to evolve with the rider. Safety is prioritized through lean-angle sensing ABS and traction control systems.

The motorcycle is available in two color variants: Storm Black and Flea Green. It is priced at ₹2.79 Lakh (ex-showroom) or ₹1.99 Lakh with a ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ model. Following the initial rollout in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, the company plans to expand to other cities in a phased, city-by-city approach.
