Devyani International Limited (DIL) released its Sustainability Report for FY 2024-25, emphasizing its commitment to responsible growth and sustainability. The report showcases DIL’s focus on integrating ESG principles across its operations, from sourcing to service, and outlines key initiatives in environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance. DIL aims to drive meaningful change while delivering trusted, enjoyable, and accessible food options.

ESG Performance and Key Initiatives

Devyani International Limited’s Sustainability Report for FY 2024-25 highlights several key ESG achievements:

  • 100% recycling of used cooking oil.
  • Approximately 7% reduction in water consumption per store.
  • Around 6.5% reduction in energy intensity per store.
  • Over 28% increase in renewable energy consumption.
  • More than 250 hours of training per employee.
  • 235 new outlets added.

DIL has also integrated sustainability-linked KPIs into its business and financial reporting frameworks.

DIL is focused on reducing its carbon footprint through energy efficiency measures and expanding the share of renewable electricity. By optimizing energy usage and water consumption, the company has achieved notable reductions in energy and water intensity per store. The company also aims for 100% usage of electric fryers in its outlets in Thailand.

Social Responsibility

DIL is dedicated to strengthening its workforce and making it future-ready. This includes clocking more than 4 million man-hours of training in FY 2024-25 and setting up 110 women-led stores across the country. The company also focuses on employee health, safety, and well-being through various initiatives.

Commitment to Ethical Practices

DIL emphasizes ethical sourcing of materials and is committed to deforestation-free supply chains. Key aspects of responsible supply chain management include compliance with applicable laws, safe working conditions, and zero tolerance for discrimination. 100% of palm oil is sourced from Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified suppliers.

Menu Innovation and Nutrition

DIL provides options that balance enjoyment with nutrition, introducing healthier choices that cater to consumers managing sugar, sodium, and fat intake. KFC has successfully deployed over 750 self-ordering kiosks across 370+ outlets.
