The appeals concerned a disputed taxable income amounting to Rs. 215 Crores. The Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), Mumbai, has ruled in favor of the company, resolving the matter.
Background of the Issue
The company had previously disclosed that it had received assessment and demand orders for various Assessment Years (AY), including 13-14, 14-15, and 15-16 in the quarter ended June 30, 2021. Appeals and rectification applications were filed accordingly. Orders for remaining years (16-17 to 19-20) were received by the end of October 2021. The company initiated the process of filing appeals and rectification applications.
