Deepak Fertilisers has received a demand order from the Income Tax Department (Central Processing Centre, Bengaluru) on December 24, 2025. The total demand amounts to ₹21,50,77,320.

Details of the Order

The demand order, issued under section 143(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, pertains to the assessment year 2024-25. The Income Tax Department increased the income by ₹10,33,56,624. The order did not provide credit for TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and TCS (Tax Collected at Source) amounting to ₹14,32,80,882 and ₹2,80,005, respectively.

Company’s Response

The company is currently undergoing assessment proceedings for AY 2024-25 which are expected to be completed by March 31, 2026. Deepak Fertilisers plans to seek clarification regarding the difference in business income and will take appropriate action.
