Dalmia Bharat announced a favorable resolution regarding a tax matter for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (“DCBL”). The Sales Tax Officer, Lalgudi, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, has dropped the demand for tax and penalties following an adjudication proceeding.

The dropped demand pertained to a show cause notice issued under section 74 of the Central GST/Tamil Nadu GST Act 2017 for Assessment Year 2018-19. The original demand included both tax and penalty amounts, each totaling ₹1,43,40,47,271.

Impact on Dalmia Cement

The company has clarified that this resolution will have no financial impact on Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited. The order was received on November 29, 2025.
