Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) formally announced the assumption of additional charge for the post of Director (Domestic Division) by Shri Harbrinder Singh Bajwa, IRTS, ED(FM), Railway Board. This assumption of charge took effect on 01.03.2026 (FN).

The communication references an order from the Ministry of Railways (MoR) dated 20.02.2026, which communicated the decision to entrust this additional role to Shri Bajwa pending final approval from the Competent Authority. CONCOR noted that, as a Government Company, directors are appointed by the President of India through the MoR.

Director Profile and Experience

Shri Harbrinder Singh Bajwa is an officer from the 1996 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh (1995), and possesses approximately 30 years of experience across Indian Railways and the Ministry of Food & Public Distribution.

Key Operational and Policy Roles:

  • His current charge at the Ministry of Railways involves overseeing the entire parcel business and policy related to the development of freight terminals and private investment in wagons.
  • Previously, he served as Divisional Railway Manager for the Khurda Division of East Coast Railway, noted as the highest freight handling Division of IR.
  • He has handled critical national logistics, including policies related to the procurement and transportation of foodgrains.
  • As Executive Director (Coal), he managed the movement of coal for power supply, closely coordinating with the Ministries of Power, Coal, and Shipping.
  • He was also significantly involved in managing the movement of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) across Indian Railways during the COVID-19 period.

Compliance Status

CONCOR confirmed that Shri Harbrinder Singh Bajwa (DIN: 11506675) has affirmed that he is not debarred from holding the office of director by any authority and further confirmed that he holds no shares in CONCOR.

The requisite procedures under the Companies Act, 2013, and relevant disclosure requirements are currently being finalized, and necessary filings with the Stock Exchanges will be completed within the stipulated timeline.
