Shwetank Singh has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Chalet Hotels, effective February 1, 2026. This follows his previous role as Chief Growth & Strategy Officer. He brings over 26 years of experience to the position.
Simultaneously, Dr. Sanjay Sethi will be appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, also effective February 1, 2026, marking a shift from his current role as Managing Director and CEO.
Udaipur Resort Acquisition
Chalet Hotels is planning to acquire a resort property in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The proposed acquisition involves a consideration of ₹171 crore. The resort features approximately 150 rooms. The acquisition is subject to customary adjustments for Net Assets/Liabilities and completion of due diligence.
The transaction requires successful due diligence, and the company will provide further details upon entering into definitive agreements. These agreements will be subject to terms and conditions mutually agreed upon with the sellers and will require necessary statutory approvals.
