CEAT has received orders from the Assistant Commissioner, CGST Division-Connaught Place, Delhi South Commissionerate, pertaining to the financial year 2020-21.

Delhi CGST Division Order

The order from the Delhi CGST Division demands INR 0.35 Cr, along with a penalty of INR 0.35 Cr, plus applicable interest. The demand is related to the alleged wrong availment and utilization of input tax credit. The communication was received on December 31, 2025.

Mumbai SGST Division Order

The Deputy Commissioner of SGST, Mumbai, has issued an order pertaining to the financial year 2021-22. This order demands INR 10.77 Cr, along with a penalty of INR 1.07 Cr and applicable interest. The demand is related to alleged wrong declaration and claim of RCM input tax credit, and disallowed input tax credit on account of said ineligibility. The communication was received on December 31, 2025.

Company Response

CEAT is currently exploring the possibility of filing appeals against these orders. The company believes that there will be no material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities beyond the stated order amounts.
