Details of the Alleged Violation
The penalty stems from a Customer Application Form Audit (‘CAF Audit’) conducted by the DoT for October 2025. The audit identified alleged non-compliance with subscriber verification norms as stipulated under the License Agreement.
Company Response
Bharti Airtel has chosen not to contest the penalty and will proceed with payment. The maximum financial impact is limited to the penalty amount of ₹1,11,000.
