Background of Tan Yong Choo
Yong Choo began her career with SingTel in 1994 and became Group Financial Controller in 2007. She currently holds the position of VP (Group Financial Reporting), where she oversees the SingTel Group’s financial management, reporting, business analysis, planning, and forecasting. Her experience includes roles in international accounting firms and multinational corporations before her time at SingTel.
Previous Roles
Yong Choo served as a Board member and Audit Committee member of Bharti Airtel from 2010 to 2020. She also chaired the Audit Committee at Crimsonlogic, an IT services company, from 2009 to 2018. She currently serves on the Board of various companies within the SingTel Group.
Educational Background
Yong Choo holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (“ISCA”).
