Bank of Maharashtra Strategic Elevation of Three Senior Executives

Bank of Maharashtra has announced the elevation of three key senior executives to the position of Chief General Manager, effective April 1, 2026. This leadership transition aims to bolster the bank’s operational and strategic oversight. The promoted officials bring decades of extensive banking experience, having served across the bank’s branch, zonal, and head office levels throughout their tenures.

Strengthening Leadership Capabilities

As part of its organizational development, Bank of Maharashtra has promoted three experienced professionals to the role of Chief General Manager. These appointments, which take effect on April 1, 2026, reflect the bank’s commitment to internal talent development and operational excellence across its diverse departments.

Promoted Executives

The leadership team expansion includes the following senior professionals:

  • Shri Devdatta Vitthal Rokade (54): A specialist IT officer with the bank since 2004, he holds a degree in Electronics & Communication. He currently leads Operations, Strategy, ABC, and Resource Planning.
  • Shri Arun Fanidhar Kabade (57): Joining the bank in 1998, he is a computer science expert currently managing FMA & Credit Agriculture.
  • Shri Milind Babarao Gharad (53): A marketing specialist with the bank since 2006, he is presently serving as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Gramin Bank, an RRB sponsored by the parent institution.

Future Impact

Each of the newly elevated Chief General Managers possesses deep institutional knowledge, having worked across all three functional tiers of the bank: Branch, Zonal Office, and Head Office. Their combined expertise in IT, strategy, agriculture credit, and regional rural banking is expected to play a critical role in the bank’s continued growth and digital transformation efforts in the coming fiscal year.
