Balkrishna Industries Ltd Q3 & 9MFY26 Results and Growth Strategy

Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) reports a sales volume of 80,620 MT for Q3FY26, a 6% YoY increase, with revenue at Rs. 2,682 cr, up 4% YoY. For 9MFY26, sales volume reached 231,536 MT. The company is targeting a 2.2x revenue growth by 2030, aiming for Rs. 23,000 cr, driven by OHT segments, carbon black sales and new tire categories. The company is also expanding its carbon black capacity and entering new tire verticals in India.

  • Net Profit: Rs. 375 cr (down 15% YoY)

The company has announced a 3rd interim dividend of Rs. 4 per equity share.

9MFY26 Performance

Key financial figures for the first nine months of FY26 include:

  • Sales Volume: 231,536 MT (down 1% YoY)
  • Revenue: Rs. 7,762 cr (flat YoY)
  • EBITDA: Rs. 1,760 cr (down 11% YoY)
  • Net Profit: Rs. 927 cr (down 27% YoY)

The total dividend declared so far amounts to Rs. 12 per equity share.

Growth Roadmap: Goals and Strategy

BKT aims for 2.2x revenue growth by 2030, targeting approximately Rs. 23,000 cr in revenue. This growth will be driven by:

  • ~70% from OHT (Off-Highway Tire) segments
  • ~10% from 3rd party sales of Carbon Black
  • ~20% from new tire categories for the Indian market

The company plans to achieve this by investing Rs. 3,500cr over the next 3 years in new growth capex for Carbon Black, Rubber Tracks and New Category Tires. BKT also aims to achieve an 8% global market share in the OHT segment.

OHT Strategy

BKT’s OHT strategy focuses on sustaining and further consolidating global leadership in agricultural tires and developing all-steel radial technology for mining tires up to 57 inches. The company also expanding dedicated manufacturing facility for Tracks; expected to commence production in H2-2026.

Carbon Black Capacity Expansion

BKT is expanding its Carbon Black capacity from 200,000 MTPA to 360,000 MTPA along with a 24 MW cogeneration power plant, increasing total co-gen power capacity to 64 MW at Bhuj. This expansion is expected to be completed by early 2026.

New Tire Verticals in India

BKT plans to enter new tire verticals in India, including premium passenger car radial tires and commercial vehicle radial tires. CV Radial tires pilot will launch in Q4FY26. The PCR tires pilot will follow in Q3FY27.

Sustainability at BKT

BKT reports that 98.17% of total waste generated was recycled or reused, and 36,177 GJ of renewable energy was consumed. They have also reduced non-renewable grid electricity consumption by 21.37% YoY and total waste by 14.92%.
