Bajaj Finance Appoints Jennifer Fernandes as Chief Human Resources Officer

Bajaj Finance has announced the appointment of Jennifer Fernandes as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This decision, approved by the Board of Directors on November 10, 2025, reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team. Fernandes, previously the Deputy CHRO, brings extensive experience to the role, having overseen significant scaling of the company’s workforce and key employee initiatives.

Leadership Change in HR Department

Jennifer Fernandes has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Bajaj Finance. This appointment was approved by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on November 10, 2025.

Previous Role and Experience

Prior to her appointment as CHRO, Fernandes held the position of Deputy CHRO. In this role since May 2023, she played a key role in managing HR Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Tech PMO, People Analytics, and HR Employee Services. She also led efforts to scale the company’s headcount from 37,000 to approximately 65,000 employees. Additionally, she worked closely with stakeholders to develop and implement key employee policies and practices.

Past Roles and Contributions

From January 2021 to April 2023, Fernandes served as the CHRO for Bajaj Housing Finance Limited. During this time, she led the HR & Administration functions and designed the company’s incentive framework. She originally joined Bajaj Finance in October 2015, where she was responsible for Compensation & Benefits and HR Policies.
