ASK Automotive’s Board of Directors has approved a capacity expansion/addition of Advanced Braking Systems, specifically Brake Shoes and Disc Brake Pads, for two-wheeler applications. This will be accomplished through the establishment of two new plants located at their leased property in Rajasthan. The proposed capacity addition is projected to be commissioned in Q1 FY 26-27.
Capacity Expansion Approved for Braking Systems
ASK Automotive is set to expand its production capabilities with an approved capacity expansion for Advanced Braking Systems. The decision was made by the Board of Directors on January 28, 2026. The focus of the expansion will be on Brake Shoes and Disc Brake Pads designed for two-wheeler applications.
Details of the Expansion
The expansion will involve setting up two new plants at the company’s leased property in Rajasthan. The existing capacity stands at 26 Crore (Pcs.) Brake Shoes and Disc Brake Pads per annum, with a current utilization of 90% (Approx.). The proposed capacity addition is 6 Crore (Pcs.) Brake Shoes and Disc Brake Pads per annum.
Financial and Operational Impact
The project is expected to be commissioned in Q1 FY 26-27. The investment required for this expansion is approximately Rs. 35 Crore, which will be funded through internal accruals. The expansion is driven by an increased demand supported by GST 2.0 reforms.
