This move involves an initial investment of 500,000 Saudi Riyal (SR) through its UAE-based subsidiary. The new entity aims to set up a vehicle assembly plant focused on buses and trucks for both the domestic and export markets. This venture marks a significant step in Ashok Leyland’s international growth strategy.

Saudi Arabian Expansion

Ashok Leyland is expanding its presence in the Middle East with the incorporation of Ashok Leyland Saudi Company. The expansion was announced on November 27, 2025, as the company aims to broaden its manufacturing and sales operations.

Subsidiary Details and Investment

The new entity is a Limited Liability Company (one person) and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ashok Leyland UAE LLC (AL UAE). The initial investment amounts to 500,000 Saudi Riyal (SR) which went towards the initial share capital.

Strategic Business Intent

The primary objective of establishing Ashok Leyland Saudi Company is to set up a vehicle assembly plant. The plant’s focus will be on manufacturing buses and trucks. The output will be for supply to both the Saudi Arabian domestic market and for export. The incorporation was officially completed on June 30, 2025.
