Ashok Leyland has reported robust sales figures for March 2026, registering a 5% growth in total vehicles sold both in domestic markets and combined with exports compared to March 2025. The company reached a total of 25,381 units for the month in domestic and export markets, while cumulative sales for the fiscal year reached 2,20,437 units, marking a significant 13% increase over the previous year.
Monthly Sales Highlights
For the month of March 2026, Ashok Leyland demonstrated consistent growth across its vehicle segments. In the domestic market, the company sold a total of 23,743 vehicles, a 5% increase over the 22,510 units recorded in March 2025. When including international exports, the total volume reached 25,381 units, maintaining the same 5% growth trajectory compared to the previous year’s 24,060 units.
Segment Performance
The performance was primarily driven by strong demand in the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) segment, which saw a 12% increase in total sales (domestic plus exports), moving from 7,022 units in March 2025 to 7,863 units in March 2026. Within the M&HCV (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle) segment, truck sales showed resilient growth, with total sales rising 11% to 14,470 units.
Annual Cumulative Growth
Looking at the cumulative performance for the full year ending March 2026, Ashok Leyland achieved a strong 13% growth in its total domestic and export vehicle sales, totaling 2,20,437 units compared to 1,95,097 units in the previous fiscal year. This sustained performance underscores the company’s competitive position in the Indian commercial vehicle landscape.
