Alkem Laboratories Secures 30 Acres of Land in Ujjain for New Greenfield Manufacturing Facility

Alkem Laboratories has received an allotment letter for approximately 30 acres of land in the DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri Industrial Area, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This land is designated for setting up a new greenfield formulations manufacturing facility. The Board of Directors has approved a phased investment of up to INR 533 crores for this significant expansion project, underscoring the company’s commitment to scaling its production capabilities in Central India.

Major Expansion in Madhya Pradesh

Alkem Laboratories Ltd. announced today, March 18, 2026, that it has secured a significant asset for future growth. The Company received an allotment letter from DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri Limited for the acquisition of land measuring approximately 30 acres.

This land is strategically located in the Industrial Area DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri Limited, Phase– 2, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The primary purpose of this acquisition is the establishment of a brand new greenfield formulations manufacturing facility for the Company.

Board-Approved Capital Investment

To support this major infrastructure development, the Board of Directors has sanctioned a substantial capital outlay. The total investment, to be deployed in a phased manner, is approved to be up to INR 533 crores. This move is intended to substantially enhance Alkem’s manufacturing footprint and capacity to meet growing market demand.
