Haryana GST Order
The Assistant Commissioner of Central Goods and Service Tax in Ambala, Haryana, issued an order pertaining to Financial Year 2021-22. This order demands GST of ₹1,83,14,281, along with a penalty of ₹18,31,428. The demand is based on alleged excess availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC). Alkem Laboratories disagrees with the order.
Rajasthan GST Order
The Superintendent, CGST Range-XXXV, CGST Division-G, Jaipur, issued an order for Financial Year 2018-19. The order demands GST of ₹6,12,474, coupled with a penalty of ₹6,12,474. As with the Haryana order, this demand concerns alleged excess availment of Input Tax Credit. Alkem Laboratories will contest this order.
Company Response
Alkem Laboratories maintains that it does not agree with the grounds for the GST demands and will be contesting both orders through appropriate legal channels. The company is taking necessary actions, including filing appeals against the orders.
