Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has achieved a significant milestone by commercially operationalizing 360.5 MW of new renewable energy projects and 1,376 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity. These projects, located in Rajasthan and Gujarat, bring the company’s total operational renewable generation capacity to 19,293.8 MW. The facilities commenced power generation on April 1, 2026, following a strategic decision made late on March 31, 2026.
Expanding Green Energy Footprint
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has officially commissioned a series of renewable energy and storage assets. The newly operational capacity includes 360.5 MW of renewable energy projects situated in Bandha, Rajasthan, and Khavda, Gujarat. In addition, the company has added 1,376 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity at its Khavda site. These additions reflect AGEL’s commitment to scaling sustainable power infrastructure across India.
Strategic Capacity Growth
With these latest additions, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has climbed to 19,293.8 MW. The inclusion of 1,376 MWh of BESS capacity is a crucial step in supporting grid stability and energy reliability. Power generation from these plants was officially initiated on April 1, 2026, following final clearances obtained on the night of March 31, 2026.
Breakdown of Newly Operational Assets
The renewable portfolio expansion includes solar projects from Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C Limited (50 MW Solar, 65 MW Wind), Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Limited (108 MW Solar), and Adani Green Energy Twenty Five B Limited (137.5 MW Solar). The BESS capacity is supported by Adani Renewable Energy Forty Three Limited (953 MWh) and Adani Renewable Energy Thirty Seven Limited (423 MWh), both operating on a dispatchable basis.
