Adani Enterprises Limited announced the successful completion of the acquisition of the Defence Unit belonging to Punj Lloyd Ltd. (PLL) by its subsidiary, Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (“ADSTL”). This significant corporate action follows the earlier intimation regarding the execution of the Business Transfer Agreement (BTA).

Key Dates of Transaction

The underlying Business Transfer Agreement was initially executed on February 28, 2026. The formal transfer of the Defence Unit, which is situated at Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh, was officially completed by ADSTL on March 10, 2026. The parent company, Adani Enterprises, received confirmation of this completion on the same day at 11:34 PM IST, ensuring the deal concluded promptly as per the BTA terms.

Strategic Significance

This transaction integrates the acquired defense operations directly into ADSTL, a wholly owned subsidiary. The completion of this acquisition is a key step in the strategy to enhance and consolidate the group’s presence in the defense manufacturing and technology sector, adding strategic assets based in Madhya Pradesh to its portfolio.
