Adani Energy Solutions Q2 & FY26 Provisional Operational Updates

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has released its provisional operational updates for Q2 & FY26. Key highlights include an increase in transmission network length to 26,705 ckm and power transformation capacity to 97,236 MVA. The company also saw improved distribution loss in Mumbai to 4.36%. AESL secured a new smart metering contract from AEML with a revenue potential of Rs 2,323 Cr.

Transmission Business Growth

During Q2FY26, Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) added 190 ckm to its transmission network, bringing the total to 26,705 ckm. System availability remains robust at 99.63%. The company secured four additional projects, contributing an incremental 4,000 MVA in capacity and Rs 700 Cr of project value, resulting in an aggregate order book of Rs 60,004 Cr over 13 projects.

Mumbai Distribution Performance

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) saw distribution loss improve to 4.36% in Q2. Supply reliability (ASAI) remains at 99.999%. Total units sold in Mumbai increased by 2% to 2,650 million units (MUs). Collection efficiency remained robust at 100.59%.

Mundra Operations

MPSEZ Utility Limited (MUL) saw units sold grow by 55% YoY to 364 million units (MUs) driven by strong industrial demand.

Smart Metering Expansion

AESL secured a new smart metering contract with 18.36 lakh meters from AEML, with a revenue potential of Rs 2,323 Cr, bringing the total order book to 2.46 Cr meters and revenue potential to Rs 29,519 Cr. The company installed 18.2 lakh new meters in Q2FY26, reaching a total of 73.7 lakh smart meters, and is on track to install 1 crore meters this year.

Business Updates and ESG Initiatives

AEML repurchased US$ 44.66 million worth of bonds due 2031, continuing its deleveraging plan. The Sustainalytics ESG score improved to 19.9, with “Low Risk” ratings. AESL is recertified as Zero Waste to Landfill by Intertek for 100% of its transmission operational sites. The company also received a Gold Award for innovative theft prevention and bird safety solutions.
