ACME Solar Commissions Second Phase of 100 MW Wind Project in Gujarat

ACME Solar has commissioned the second phase, adding 16 MW, to its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. This follows the commissioning of the first phase of 28 MW in October. With this addition, the project’s operational capacity reaches 44 MW. This milestone increases ACME Solar’s total operational capacity to 2,934 MW, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy.

Gujarat Wind Project Expansion

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully commissioned an additional 16 MW for its wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The project is part of a larger 100 MW initiative.

Project Details and Capacity

Following the first phase which added 28 MW in October, this latest commissioning brings the total operational capacity of the project to 44 MW. This development increases ACME Solar’s total operational capacity to 2,934 MW.

Timeline and Approvals

The commissioning was confirmed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). The project had previously secured an extension for its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). The revised SCOD is set for March 5, 2026, but the project has been commissioned in phases ahead of schedule.

Technology and Financing

The wind power project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and utilizes SANY’s 4 MW turbines. Power generated will be sold under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
