ACME Solar clarifies a recent media report regarding transmission constraints affecting solar projects in Rajasthan. The company confirms its 300 MW solar project in Sikar is fully operational and unaffected due to its effective General Network Access (GNA). Furthermore, the commissioning of the Narela-Khetri transmission line has improved transmission for approximately 4,300 MW of solar projects in Rajasthan, alleviating previous constraints.
Response to Media Report
ACME Solar addresses a news report from December 14, 2025, concerning transmission limitations impacting solar capacity in Rajasthan. The report suggested nearly 4,300 MW of solar projects, including ACME’s, faced curtailment due to exhausted transmission margins during peak hours.
Project Status and GNA Approval
ACME clarifies that its 300 MW Sikar Solar Pvt Ltd project, connected at the Bikaner-II substation, has received General Network Access (GNA) effectiveness approval (Long Term GNA Effectiveness approval). As a result, the project is currently evacuating its full capacity of 300 MW. With confirmed & effective GNA status, the project benefits from dedicated transmission capacity and is not subject to the reported evacuation constraints.
Transmission Line Impact
The commissioning of the Narela-Khetri transmission line has further improved the situation. This infrastructure upgrade has enabled effective GNA (Long Term GNA) for roughly 4,300 MW of solar projects across Rajasthan, significantly reducing the transmission challenges highlighted in the initial media report.
