Record Operational and Financial Performance for FY 2025-26

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has presented its 60th Annual Report, detailing a year of exceptional performance across both operational and financial spheres for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. The company achieved its highest-ever crude throughput of 11.71 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT), operating at 112% capacity utilization, a testament to its strong operational discipline and efficiency.

Key Operational Highlights

CPCL recorded its highest-ever distillate yield of 79.1% and achieved a record low for Fuel & Loss at 7.73%. These operational efficiencies were further supported by the lowest-ever Energy Intensity Index (EII) of 84.0 and best-ever MBN performance of 69.8. The successful processing of six new international crude varieties enhanced crude sourcing flexibility and strengthened the company’s resilience against changing market dynamics.

Strong Financial Performance and Shareholder Returns

These operational accomplishments translated into robust financial results. Revenue from Operations stood at ₹78,611 crore, with Profit After Tax reaching ₹3,062 crore. The company also declared its highest-ever dividend of ₹62 per share, reflecting improved profitability, robust margins, disciplined cost management, and efficient asset utilization. The lowest-ever financial leverage was reported with a Debt-Equity Ratio of 0.18, underscoring a strong balance sheet and prudent financial management.

Strategic Milestones and Future Outlook

During FY 2025-26, CPCL was elevated to Navratna Enterprise status by the Department of Public Enterprises. The company also launched its retail outlet brand, “SOOPER,” marking its strategic entry into retail fuel marketing. These achievements underscore CPCL’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.
