Eicher Motors Limited has released the sales volume data for its unlisted subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), for July 2026. VECV reported a total sales volume of 8,241 units, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 15.8% compared to July 2025. The domestic market showed a strong performance with 7,575 units sold, a 18.2% increase, while exports also saw growth.

The total sales volume for VECV reached 8,241 units, representing a notable increase of 15.8% over the 7,115 units sold in July 2025. This positive performance reflects strong demand for VECV’s product portfolio.
Domestic Sales Insights
The domestic sales figures for VECV in July 2026 were particularly robust, with 7,575 units sold. This is a substantial 18.2% rise from the 6,410 units recorded in the same month of the previous year. Within the domestic segment, Eicher Trucks and Buses (including EVs) sold 8,045 units, up 15.9%.
Key domestic sub-segments showed varied growth:
- SCV/LMD Trucks (< 18.5T): Sales increased by 28.9% to 4,394 units.
- HD Trucks (≥18.5T): Sales grew by 13.2% to 1,916 units.
- LMD Bus: Sales remained relatively stable with a marginal decrease of 0.3% to 1,145 units.
- HD Bus: Experienced a decline of 25.5%, with 120 units sold.
Export Market Performance
VECV’s export business also contributed to the overall growth, albeit at a more moderate pace. Total exports for July 2026 stood at 470 units, a decrease of 11.3% compared to 530 units in July 2025. The export of SCV/LMD vehicles saw a slight dip of 2.2% to 313 units, while HD vehicle exports decreased by 3.2% to 92 units. Bus exports saw a more significant decline of 43.5%.
Year-to-Date (YTD) Figures
On a Year-to-Date (YTD) basis for the fiscal year 2026-27, total VECV sales reached 33,056 units, an increase of 15.1% compared to 28,725 units in the same period of the previous year. Domestic sales for the YTD were 30,342 units (up 16.0%), and exports accounted for 1,920 units (down 2.3%).
