The company reported an 88% increase in net profit, reaching ₹2,002.38 crore. This performance also saw record Q1 bauxite excavation and alumina production, driven by operational excellence and favourable market conditions.
NALCO Reports Record-Breaking Q1 FY27 Performance
National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, has commenced the financial year 2026-27 with a robust operational and financial performance in its first quarter, ended June 30, 2026. The company announced an impressive 88% year-on-year increase in net profit, which surged to ₹2,002.38 crore from ₹1063.86 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Revenue and Operational Highlights
Revenue from operations also demonstrated strong growth, recording a 39% increase over the same period last year, reaching ₹5,302.38 crore during the quarter. NALCO also set new records in key operational areas during Q1 FY27. The company achieved its highest-ever Q1 bauxite excavation at 19.52 lakh tonnes and its highest-ever Q1 calcined alumina production at 5.77 lakh tonnes. Furthermore, sales of alumina/hydrate reached an all-time Q1 high of 3.47 lakh tonnes.
Dividend Recommendation and Outlook
The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Re.1/- per equity share for the financial year 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, attributed the strong performance to strategic guidance, employee commitment, and favourable global aluminium prices, alongside increased domestic alumina sales.
