The company’s EBITDA also saw a substantial rise of 12.36% to ₹11,092 million. Profit After Tax grew by 3.04% to ₹5,347 million. Profitability and Operational Highlights
Consolidated Profit Before Tax (before exceptional items) increased by 7.22% from ₹7,025 million to ₹7,532 million. Consolidated Profit After Tax saw a growth of 3.04%, reaching ₹5,347 million from ₹5,189 million in the previous year. The company also noted an increase in its installed capacity for the plumbing business by 9.34%, with sales volume growing from 2,27,090 MT to 2,63,026 MT. Capital expenditure for the year amounted to ₹3,284 million towards plant and machineries, factory building, and other capital expenditure.
Strategic Initiatives and Acquisitions
During the financial year, Astral Limited undertook strategic acquisitions to strengthen its business portfolio and enhance operational efficiencies. The company approved the acquisition of 100% equity shares of Al-Aziz Plastics Private Limited, expected to diversify its product portfolio and expand manufacturing capacities. Additionally, the acquisition of 80% equity shares of Nexelon Chem Private Limited marks a backward integration initiative for CPVC resin manufacturing.
The company also increased its ownership in Seal It Services Limited, UK, and Astral Chemie Limited (formerly Astral Coatings Private Limited), making them wholly-owned subsidiaries.
