Kajaria Ceramics: Approves Financials, ₹165 Cr Facility Expansion, and Solar Investment

The company approved its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Furthermore, Kajaria Ceramics sanctioned a significant expansion of its manufacturing facility at Gailpur, Rajasthan, with an estimated investment of ₹165 crores, aiming to increase annual production capacity by 11 MSM tiles. The company also approved an investment of up to ₹12.15 crores in equity shares of Sunsure Solarpark Fourty Three Private Limited to secure captive solar and wind power consumption.

Board Approves Financial Results and Strategic Initiatives

Kajaria Ceramics Limited’s Board of Directors convened on July 31, 2026, to consider and approve several critical business matters. The meeting, which commenced at 1:00 p.m. and concluded at 2:05 p.m., resulted in the approval of the company’s unaudited financial results, both standalone and consolidated, for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2026. These results, along with the limited review reports from statutory auditors, have been formally submitted.

Manufacturing Capacity Expansion

A major strategic decision involved the approval of a significant expansion of the manufacturing facility located in Gailpur, Rajasthan. This brownfield expansion will see an increase in the annual production capacity by 11 Million Square Metres (MSM) of tiles. The project is estimated to cost approximately ₹165 crores and is expected to be completed by April 2027. This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for glazed vitrified tiles and will be financed through internal accruals.

Investment in Renewable Energy

In a move to secure sustainable and cost-effective power, Kajaria Ceramics has approved an investment of up to ₹12.15 crores in equity shares of Sunsure Solarpark Fourty Three Private Limited. This investment is intended to facilitate captive consumption of solar and wind power, as mandated by the Electricity Act. The company views this as a strategy to reduce power costs for its Gailpur and Malootana plants in Rajasthan, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and environmental friendliness. This investment is expected to be completed over approximately 15 months.

Financial Highlights (Standalone)

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Kajaria Ceramics reported a total income of ₹1,212.39 crores, a slight decrease from the previous quarter (₹1,255.72 crores) but an increase from the same quarter last year (₹1,025.96 crores). The total expenses stood at ₹1,002.99 crores. Profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹209.40 crores, leading to a profit after tax of ₹155.77 crores. Earnings per share (EPS) for the basic category stood at ₹9.78.

Consolidated Financial Performance

On a consolidated basis, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the total income reached ₹1,345.22 crores. Total expenses were reported at ₹1,114.94 crores. The profit before tax from continuing operations was ₹231.40 crores, with the profit for the period from continuing operations amounting to ₹171.08 crores. The total comprehensive income for the period stood at ₹170.93 crores.
