Indegene, a strategic operating partner for the global life sciences industry, has declared its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, which concluded on June 30, 2026. The company showcased a significant year-over-year increase in revenue, driven by expanding client relationships and enhanced operational efficiency.

Key Financial Highlights

The company’s revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹10,631 million, representing a substantial 39.7% increase compared to the same period last year. In USD terms, revenue grew by 26.5% year-over-year to approximately $112.5 million. Sequentially, revenue saw a 6.0% growth.

EBITDA for the quarter was reported at ₹1,795 million, with an EBITDA margin of 16.9%. This indicates an improvement of 8.9% quarter-over-quarter. Profit After Tax (PAT) also demonstrated strong growth, reaching ₹1,162 million, a remarkable 45.9% increase from the previous quarter, with a PAT margin of 10.9%.

Client Growth and Strategic Outlook

Indegene’s strategic focus on client relationships and service expansion continues to yield positive results. The number of active clients has surpassed the 100-milestone, increasing sequentially by 14 to a total of 105. Furthermore, the number of clients generating over $10 million in annual revenue has expanded by 2, reaching a total of 12.

The company also emphasized its improved productivity, with Revenue per Employee (RPE) reaching $77.1K, noted as the highest among industry peers. Indegene’s leadership expressed confidence in sustained growth, attributing the performance to investments in sales and go-to-market teams, and the ongoing scaling of differentiated products and GenAI-powered technologies. The company anticipates further operating leverage and profitability improvements in the latter half of the fiscal year.
