Paradeep Phosphates: Q1 FY27 Revenue Soars 36% to ₹6,124 Crore

Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) has demonstrated strong operational and financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2027 (Q1 FY27). The company highlighted its resilience and integrated operations amidst global volatility.

  • Revenue from operations increased by 36.0% YoY to ₹6,124 crore.
  • EBITDA rose by 21% YoY to ₹742 crore.

Operational Strengths and Expansion

The company benefited from the full capacity of its expanded sulphuric acid facilities, leading to a 32% increase in sulphuric acid production YoY. Phos Acid production also saw a 7% increase YoY, reflecting the strength of PPL’s backward integration. The key project of Phos Acid expansion (Phase 1) from 500,000 MTPA to 700,000 MTPA at Paradeep is reportedly on track.

Strategic Investments

In a significant strategic move, the Board of PPL approved an investment proposal of ₹250 crore for setting up an Aluminum Fluoride (AIF3) Plant at Paradeep. This investment aligns with the company’s objective to diversify into related industrial chemicals and bolster its non-subsidy portfolio, reinforcing its manufacturing excellence.

Sales Volume Performance

In Q1 FY27, Total Fertilizers sales volume stood at 985,143 MT, a 4.0% increase YoY. DAP sales volume reached 245,189 MT, an impressive 55.1% increase YoY. Total NPK sales volume was 472,707 MT, a decrease of (8.8)% YoY. Urea sales volume was 196,646 MT, down (15.8)% YoY.
