Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the operationalization of a significant new solar power project. Its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Eight Limited (“ARE8L”), has successfully commissioned a 150 MW solar power project located in Khavda, Gujarat.
Key Capacity Milestones Achieved
With the commissioning of this Khavda project, AGEL has reached a new benchmark in its renewable energy portfolio. The company now boasts a total operational renewable generation capacity of 19,985.8 MW. Additionally, its operational Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity stands at 3,366 MWh.
Project Commencement Details
The decision to operationalize the plant and begin power generation was made on June 27, 2026, at 10:42 p.m., after obtaining all relevant clearances. Commercial power generation commenced on June 28, 2026, underscoring the project’s timely completion and integration into the energy grid.
