Background of the New Director
Shri Sanjay Lohiya is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer from the 1994 batch (Assam Meghalaya cadre). He has joined the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, as Special Secretary and has taken over as Secretary with effect from June 1, 2026. Prior to this role, he served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Mines. His prior experience includes various significant positions, such as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, and Director in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
