POWERGRID’s Board of Directors has approved several significant initiatives, including an estimated ₹485.04 Crore upgrade for SCADA and Associated Systems. Additionally, the company will secure an unsecured term loan facility of JPY 80 billion. Key personnel changes include the appointment of Smt. Anjana Luthra as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, effective immediately, and Shri Venkata S V as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2026.

In a significant meeting held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Board of Directors of POWERGRID has given its nod to several crucial operational and strategic advancements. These decisions are poised to enhance the company’s technological infrastructure and strengthen its financial and management teams.

Infrastructure and Financial Boost

A major approval includes the upgradation of the SCADA and Associated Systems of NTAMC/RTAMC. This vital project comes with an estimated cost of ₹485.04 Crore, aiming to bolster the company’s operational efficiency and monitoring capabilities. Furthermore, POWERGRID will be availing an unsecured term loan facility amounting to JPY 80 billion from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and other participating financial institutions.

Leadership Appointments

The Board also formalized important leadership transitions. Smt. Anjana Luthra has been appointed as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, effective immediately from June 10, 2026. Concurrently, Shri Venkata S V has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with his tenure commencing from July 1, 2026.
