Dilip Buildcon Limited Wins ₹268 Crore Barrage Construction Contract in Gujarat

Dilip Buildcon Limited, through its DBL-RBL (JV) entity, has secured a major contract worth ₹268 crore from the Narmada Water Resources Water Supply & Kalpasar Department, Government of Gujarat. The project involves the designing and construction of the Ged Barrage and associated protection works across the Sabarmati River. The scope of work also includes 10 years of operation and maintenance for the facility, with a total execution timeline of 24 months.

Project Details and Scope

The contract, awarded on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, focuses on the development of the Ged Barrage located between the Hirpura barrage and Lakroda weir in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. The project is designed to enhance water resource management in the region and encompasses all allied protection activities required for the site.

Contract Value and Execution

The project is valued at ₹268.00 crore, excluding GST. The joint venture between DBL and RBL has been tasked with a completion schedule of 24 months. Beyond the construction phase, the project agreement includes a comprehensive 10-year operation and maintenance mandate, ensuring the long-term functionality and structural integrity of the barrage infrastructure.
