Additionally, the Board approved strategic investments of ₹200 crore in a wholly-owned subsidiary for a new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project and a ₹150 crore loan to support education infrastructure, alongside leadership remuneration revisions and an upcoming EGM.
Financial Highlights
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, the company demonstrated solid performance. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations reached ₹4,713.96 crore, with a net profit for the year standing at ₹919.43 crore. Consolidated results were equally robust, reporting annual revenue of ₹5,380.65 crore and a profit attributable to owners of ₹800.75 crore. The Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per share, representing a 100% payout on the face value of equity shares, subject to shareholder approval.
Strategic Capital Investments
The company is aggressively pursuing its green energy transition. The Board has approved an additional investment of ₹200 crore in its subsidiary, Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL). This funding, provided via equity or loan, is earmarked for capital expenditure and working capital requirements for the development of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant, bringing the total initial investment in GNEPL to ₹700 crore.
Infrastructure and Corporate Developments
Beyond its core steel operations, the company is supporting social infrastructure by granting a loan of up to ₹150 crore to its subsidiary, Godawari Education Research Foundation (GERF). These funds will support the ongoing Residential School Project in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The Board has also proposed a revision in the remuneration for its Executive Directors and scheduled an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on June 27, 2026, to secure shareholder approval for these strategic initiatives and financial transactions.
