Balrampur Foundation has launched the “Building Skills. Transforming Futures – Balrampur Bioyug Bioplastic 3D Printing Project” in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. In collaboration with Balrampur Bioyug and ITI Mohammadi, this initiative aims to empower 20 women students with advanced manufacturing and entrepreneurship skills. By providing hands-on training in 3D printing technology, the program seeks to promote economic independence, technological inclusion, and future-ready capabilities for rural women in India.
Advancing Technical Skills for Rural Women
Launched on May 19, 2026, this project is designed to bridge the digital and industrial skill gap for young women. By utilizing Bioyug PLA material, the program introduces students to next-generation manufacturing technologies. The initiative is strategically envisioned to foster micro-entrepreneurship and improve employability across sectors like healthcare, aerospace, and consumer products, where 3D printing is becoming increasingly vital.
Curriculum and Implementation
The training is delivered through a structured Train-the-Trainer (TTT) model led by VAP 3D, serving as the technical and knowledge partner. The trainers have undergone rigorous preparation in:
- Machine operations and maintenance.
- Slicing software such as Bambu Studio.
- Basic 3D design using TinkerCAD.
- AI-assisted tools to enhance technical proficiency.
Project Infrastructure and Impact
The program is fully operational at ITI Mohammadi, equipped with advanced 3D printers, laptops, dryers, and specialized enclosures. The initial pilot batch consists of 20 girl students who will receive comprehensive, hands-on training. According to the company, this initiative is a significant step in the Foundation’s commitment to community development and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through high-tech skill education.
