Bharti Airtel has officially launched Priority Postpaid, an innovative service leveraging 5G slicing technology to provide a superior network experience. Designed for busy professionals and heavy data users, the service offers intelligently segmented, high-capacity bandwidth, ensuring stable connectivity during high traffic demand. The upgrade is available for existing and new postpaid customers, reinforcing Airtel’s commitment to delivering advanced, customer-centric digital experiences across India.
Advanced 5G Network Capabilities
To deliver this new service, Airtel has upgraded its 5G network with sophisticated slicing technology. By dynamically segmenting network capacity, the company can prioritize data traffic for Priority customers. This ensures that users experience reliable connectivity for work, entertainment, and online collaboration, even in congested environments like crowded markets or live events.
Enhanced Benefits and Plan Structure
The Priority Postpaid service includes several value-added benefits alongside high-speed data. Subscribers receive Fastlane Technology for 5G priority, robust fraud detection, spam alert services, unlimited calling, and 3000 SMS. The service is available across various plan types starting from ₹449 + GST for individuals up to ₹1749 + GST for families of five. Content bundles included in these plans feature top-tier subscriptions such as Amazon Prime, Jio Hotstar, Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Netflix.
Deployment and Accessibility
The service is accessible to any customer using a 5G SA-enabled smartphone. Airtel has streamlined the onboarding process: existing customers will receive these benefits automatically, while new or prepaid customers can easily switch to the Priority plans via the Airtel App or by visiting an authorized Airtel Store. This launch positions Airtel as the first operator in India to offer commercial slicing-based 5G services, matching global deployments in countries like the USA, UK, and Singapore.
