Blue Dart Express Earnings Call Highlights Solid Growth for FY 2026

Blue Dart Express concluded the financial year 2026 with 7% revenue growth, reaching INR 6,141 crores. Despite a dynamic cost environment, the company maintained steady performance. For the fourth quarter (Jan-Mar 2026), revenue stood at INR 1,533 crores with a profit after tax of INR 43 crores. The company continues to prioritize its profitable growth trajectory by leveraging its integrated air and ground network while optimizing operational efficiencies.

Financial Performance Overview

For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Blue Dart Express reported total revenue from operations of INR 6,141 crores, a notable increase compared to INR 5,720 crores in the previous year. The annual profit after tax was recorded at INR 240 crores. In the fourth quarter, the company achieved revenue of INR 1,533 crores, supported by 359,913 tons of total tonnage handled during the period.

Strategic Growth and Market Mix

The company continues to see strong momentum, particularly within the e-commerce and B2B Surface Express sectors. The revenue mix for the fiscal year was split 70:30 between B2B and B2C segments, with the B2C portion being largely driven by e-commerce. On an air-versus-ground basis, the revenue mix stood at 60% for air and 40% for ground. Management noted that ground operations serve as a key growth engine, while air cargo continues to provide critical connectivity for time-sensitive shipments.

Operational Efficiency and Outlook

Blue Dart remains focused on balancing capacity with demand to ensure profitability. Freighter utilization remains robust at approximately 85%. Regarding capital expenditure, the company reported INR 360 crores in consolidated capex for the year, with INR 200 crores dedicated to aircraft maintenance and INR 120 crores focused on ground infrastructure and technology. Looking ahead, the company aims to continue optimizing its network, leveraging automation, and maintaining service quality to navigate the evolving regulatory and cost landscape.
