Oswal Pumps Ltd Strategy Presentation Highlights Growth and Solar Expansion

Oswal Pumps Ltd has showcased robust growth, driven by its leadership in the PM-KUSUM scheme and a strategic shift toward becoming a fully integrated turnkey provider of solar pumping systems. With a revenue CAGR of 54.7% over the last five fiscals, the company is diversifying into rooftop solar, utility-scale, and commercial solar projects. Its expanded manufacturing capabilities and extensive distribution network of 1,383 distributors position it well for sustained long-term expansion.

Financial Performance and Market Position

Oswal Pumps has demonstrated exceptional financial growth, with revenue from operations climbing to ₹20,644 million in FY26. The company’s focus on high-margin turnkey solar projects has significantly bolstered profitability, with PAT reaching ₹3,763 million in the same period. The company maintains strong operating efficiencies, highlighted by a healthy operating EBITDA margin of 24.9% as of FY26.

Leadership in Solar Pumping Systems

A cornerstone of the company’s success has been its active participation in government-led initiatives. As one of the largest suppliers under the PM-KUSUM scheme, the company has successfully supplied over 64,033 turnkey solar pumping systems directly. The total number of solar pumps supplied, including indirect support, has scaled rapidly to 87,323 units in FY26, cementing its dominant market presence.

Strategic Diversification into Solar Energy

Building on its core irrigation expertise, Oswal Pumps is aggressively expanding its portfolio. The company has entered the rooftop solar segment, securing its first order under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna. By forming a special purpose vehicle, Oswal Doon Baran Bundi Solar Projects Limited, the firm is targeting utility-scale and commercial projects. With an order book and pipeline focused on solar energy across rooftop and C&I segments, the company is reducing its dependence on single-scheme growth and broadening its addressable market.

Enhanced Manufacturing and Distribution

Oswal Pumps operates two highly efficient manufacturing facilities accredited with ISO 9001:2015 and other international standards. To sustain its competitive edge, the company plans to utilize ₹1,536.60 million in net proceeds to expand solar module capacity by 1,500 MW and invest in backward integration, such as aluminium extrusion and EVA manufacturing. This, combined with an extensive pan-India network of 1,383 distributors and 425 ‘Oswal Shoppe’ retail outlets, ensures robust retail reach and brand visibility across the country’s major agricultural belts.
