Wipro Limited has officially concluded its acquisition of Mindsprint, the IT and digital services business of Olam Group. Originally announced on April 6, 2026, this strategic move stems from an 8-year transformation deal. The integration enhances Wipro’s AI-powered farm-to-fork capabilities and domain expertise in supply chain and commodity trading, significantly strengthening its footprint in the global agri-business sector.
Strengthening Domain Expertise
Following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, Wipro Limited has finalized the acquisition of Mindsprint. This entity, which was a core part of the US$ 50+ billion Olam Group, brings over 3,200 professionals into the Wipro ecosystem. Operating now as “Mindsprint, a Wipro Company,” the business will integrate its deep domain knowledge with Wipro’s AI-powered technology services and consulting-led approach.
Strategic Rationale and Capabilities
The acquisition is a pivotal component of a broader 8-year strategic transformation engagement. By bringing Mindsprint into its portfolio, Wipro significantly deepens its farm-to-fork value chain capabilities. Key proprietary, IP-led solutions now joining the Wipro suite include:
- Farmsprint®: Designed for specialized plantation management.
- Procuresprint®: Focused on agentic AI-enabled procurement transformation.
- Tradesprint®: A comprehensive commodity trading and risk management platform.
- SprintAP™ and Salessprint™: Targeted at payables and sales operations respectively.
Future Impact and Leadership Outlook
Vinay Firake, CEO of Wipro’s APMEA Strategic Market Unit, emphasized that the integration accelerates the global deployment of Wipro Intelligence™. The combined expertise is expected to drive sustainable growth, operational leverage, and long-term business value for both Olam Group and Wipro’s broader client base. Financial advisory for the transaction was provided by Rothschild & Co. for Wipro and Avendus Capital for Olam Group and Mindsprint.
