Carborundum Universal Full Year FY26 Revenue Hits ₹3,024 Crore, Declares Final Dividend

Carborundum Universal Limited has reported a strong performance for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The company achieved standalone revenue of ₹3,024 crore, marking an 8.6% growth over the previous year, with a net profit of ₹416 crore. Reflecting its positive growth trajectory, the Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹2.50 per equity share, bringing the total dividend for the year to ₹4.00 per share.

Annual Financial Highlights

For the financial year 2025-26, Carborundum Universal demonstrated robust financial health. Standalone sales rose to ₹3,024 crore, driven by notable growth in the Electrominerals segment, which increased by 11.1%. The Ceramics and Abrasives segments also showed steady growth of 6.5% and 6.2%, respectively. Profit after tax for the full year stood at ₹416 crore, a significant improvement from ₹322 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Quarterly Performance Analysis

In the final quarter (Q4, Jan-Mar 2026), the company recorded standalone sales of ₹845 crore, representing a strong 23% growth over the same period last year. This quarterly performance was largely propelled by the Electrominerals segment, which grew by 22.3%, while the Ceramics and Abrasives segments contributed growth of 21.7% and 21.5% respectively.

Strategic Developments and Exceptional Items

The consolidated financial results reflect the impact of strategic restructuring, including the decision to wind down operations of CUMI Awuko Abrasives GmbH (CAAG) in Germany and the realizable value assessment of Foskor Zirconia (Pty) Ltd (FZL) in South Africa. These decisions resulted in exceptional expenses totaling ₹135 crore before tax. Despite these challenges, the company maintained a strong consolidated sales figure of ₹5,149 crore for the year, representing a 6.5% growth.

Dividend and AGM Information

The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹2.50 per share. Coupled with the interim dividend of ₹1.50 per share already paid, shareholders will receive a total dividend of ₹4.00 per share for the year. The company’s 72nd Annual General Meeting is scheduled for August 7, 2026, with the record date for the final dividend set for July 31, 2026.
